Welcome to Adventures of a WildLife.
My name is Ashley Watson and I would like to invite you to share my passion for nature, wildlife and adventures!
From as early as I can remember I have been fascinated by the natural world and have always had a deep longing for adventure. I’m enthralled by it all – birds, invertebrates, mammals, plants, fungi, every aspect of nature is cause for excitement! I love being in the wild with the experiences, discoveries and that feeling of being alive that it has to offer.
I live in Sheffield with my wife Helen whom I’ve been married to for nearly 5 years and I’m a father to Isabel who was born in February 2012. I work part time for the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust at Potteric Carr Nature Reserve near Doncaster and part time as an assistant ecologist. I am a member of the Sorby Natural History Society and a member of the British Myriapod and Isopod Group. I’m also a qualified Holistic Therapist.
Thanks for showing an interest and I hope you enjoy the blog!
